Background
Objective
This project aimed to optimize antibacterial solution filtration by selecting the most suitable filter sheets for liquid clarification, ensuring:
● Significant turbidity reduction
● High recovery rate
● Stable and efficient filtration performance
Solution: Depth Filtration with Optimized Filter Sheets
Using advanced depth filtration technology, two types of microporous filter sheets were evaluated:
● SCP-336 (0.2–0.4 μm)
● SCH-690 (0.1–0.2 μm)
The filtration process was carried out using a plate and frame filtration system, ensuring consistent and scalable performance for industrial applications.
Results: High-Efficiency Turbidity Reduction
●SCP-336 Filter Sheets
○ Turbidity reduced from 37.9 to 0.39
○ Clarity improvement: 98.97%
● SCH-690 Filter Sheets
○ Turbidity reduced from 37.9 to 0.52
○ Clarity improvement: 98.62%
● Filtration Capacity
○ Over 2 L filtrate achieved under lab-scale conditions
Conclusion: Best Filter Sheets for Liquid Clarification
Both options delivered strong results in industrial liquid filtration systems, with recovery rates exceeding 98.5%.
However, SCP-336 proved to be the optimal choice for:
● Superior clarity improvement
● Higher filtration efficiency
● Better scalability for production
