Introducing the CEP-4 Series: A New Generation of Filter Sheets Built for Cellulase Solutions

We are excited to announce the release of an all‑new filtration solution for the industrial enzyme industry – the CEP‑4 Series Filter Sheets from Shenyang Great Wall Filtration Co., Ltd.

If you’ve struggled with standard cellulose‑based filter sheets breaking down when filtering cellulase solutions, this new product is for you.

Why a new product?

Conventional filter sheets are vulnerable to cellulase erosion. Over time, this leads to:

1. Filtration accuracy drift

2. Edge leakage

3. Short service life

The CEP‑4 Series is designed from the ground up to solve these problems. By using modified composite materials on the surface, the new sheets resist enzymatic attack while maintaining stable, high‑performance filtration.

What’s new in the CEP‑4 Series?

Cellulase‑resistant fibers

Unlike ordinary cellulose sheets, the CEP‑4 fibers are immune to cellulase degradation – a breakthrough for enzyme filtration.

Higher wet strength

Wet bursting strength ≥300 kPa, which means longer operational life and easier disassembly after use.

Three‑in‑one filtration mechanism

Combines surface filtration, depth filtration, and adsorption filtration in one sheet – something rarely seen in conventional enzyme filters.

Multiple precision grades

From coarse filtration (7‑8 µm) down to microbial fine filtration (0.2‑0.4 µm), covering the whole enzyme production process.

Quick Start: Installation & Disinfection

Installation

  • Insert filter sheets gently into plate-and-frame filter – no tapping, bending, or friction.
  • Orientation matters: The rougher side is the feed side (against feed plate). The smoother side with mesh pattern is the discharge side (against discharge plate). Wrong orientation reduces filtration capacity.
  • Do not use damaged sheets.

Disinfection (Recommended – Hot Water)

  • Use purified water at >85 °C.
  • Circulate for 30 min after temperature exceeds 85 °C.
  • Keep outlet pressure ≥50 kPa (0.5 bar).

Steam Disinfection

  • Saturated steam up to 134 °C.
  • Steam for 20 min after steam flows through all sheets and exhausts completel

Flushing

  • 50 L of purified water per square meter at 1.25× normal flow rate.

Custom Sizes & Shapes

Already have a filter press? Great Wall can match sheet sizes to your existing equipment. Round, irregular, perforated, and hanging styles are also available.

Final thought

If cellulase is eating your filter media and driving up costs, the CEP-4 series offers a durable, high-performance alternative. It’s not just a filter sheet – it’s process stability.
